Company
The research behind this goes back to 1987.
Our story
AgResource Company was founded in Chicago in 1987 by economist Dan Basse to serve the needs of the U.S. and world agriculture community. What started as one economist's read on the grain trade became a research desk that agribusiness, elevators, farmers, funds, and financial institutions around the world rely on to tell them what is happening, why it is happening, and what is coming next. It has published multiple times a day, every day, for decades, with people on the ground in South America and long-range climate work alongside the daily grain read.
AgResource.ai takes that body of research and does something it could never do as a PDF: runs it against a live data warehouse, every day, for your operation specifically.
What has never changed
We are not brokers. We are not traders.
We have no brokerage affiliations and no position in your trade. We do not make money when you transact, which means we have no reason to tell you anything other than what the data says. All of the decisions stay where they belong: with you.
That is also why the AI does not make price predictions. It is not a limitation we bolted on. It is the discipline this research has been written under since 1987, enforced in software.
